We discuss types of sedation being used in Dentistry in NZ currently, including stories from clinical practice.

Dr Bedi currently practices at Garden City Dental in Christchurch, offering sedation for dental treatment required as needed.

He takes us through the levels of sedation, Anxiolysis, moderate sedation, and the reasons why we don’t do deep sedation in dental practice.

He explains about Oral sedation, IV sedation with Midazolam, Fentanyl, and infusion based protocols with Propofol and Remifentanyl.
